What Is Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis)?
Tennis Elbow, medically known as Lateral Epicondylitis, is a condition that causes pain on the outer part of the elbow. It occurs due to overuse or repetitive strain on the tendons that attach to the lateral epicondyle — the bony bump on the outside of the elbow.

Despite the name, this condition is not limited to tennis players. It commonly affects people who perform repetitive gripping or wrist extension movements, such as manual workers, computer users, or athletes.
At Versano Clinics, we take a holistic, hands-on approach to managing Tennis Elbow. Our team focuses on relieving pain, restoring arm function, and helping you return to work, sport, or daily activities without recurrence.
Symptoms:
-
Pain or burning on the outer part of the elbow
-
Tenderness to touch at the lateral epicondyle
-
Pain when gripping, lifting, or turning objects (e.g., doorknob or screwdriver)
-
Weak grip strength or difficulty holding items
-
Discomfort when extending the wrist or fingers
-
Pain that worsens with repetitive arm or hand use
